Om met vloeiende gebaren te kunnen schilderen heb ik ruimte nodig. Twee hartsvriendinnen in blauwfluwelen jurken poseerden voor dit werk, in het licht, de sfeer en de kleuren van een Engels kostuumfilmdrama. De een vertrouwd rustend op de schoot van de ander.
